About

A Touch of Class

Marie Cluthé was a popular designer for many years on Yorkville Avenue in Toronto. Through the years, her business property was passed along to her daughter, Eileen Newell where she opened an antique store honouring her mother’s name.

Through the decades, Eileen became well known for her antique-savvy eye, and her Yorkville Avenue location drew loyal customers from far and wide. As she began to spend more time in the beautiful city of Peterborough last year, she became smitten with an available location at 395 Water Street.

She now brings her touch of class to downtown Peterborough. In 2017, Marie Cluthé Antiques & Collectibles opened its door to lovers of period pieces, art, furniture, lighting and mirrors in the heart of town. You’ll quickly see that she has a great knack for finding the unique and beautiful pieces which adorn her shop.

Please stop by to browse and meet Hilary, Dakshina or Eileen herself and find that perfect piece you won’t be able to resist.
